This fig variety is from the Bordeaux region of France.  A top tier yet underrated fig because it is easy to find.  It has a black to purple skin with a plum red colored flesh that actually tastes similar to a plum. It's very tasty, especially when they can shrivel up on the tree. The tree is somewhat hardy, very productive, and produces a reliably early main crop.
