This fig variety is from the Bordeaux region of France.  A superstar, top tier yet underrated fig because it is easy to find.  It has a black to purple skin with a plum red colored flesh that actually tastes similar to a plum with berry mix.  It's very tasty, especially when they shrivel up on the tree.  On top of that, the tree is cold-hardy, very productive, and produces a early.
