This is a rare  cultivar from Albania.  Name translates to Black Fig with Red Heart.  Figbid "Albafigs" came across this fig while walking the streets of the historic district of Berat and it was growing along the fence line of a 17th century home that it’s currently protected by UNESCO  and owned by a Local who’s name is Zabiti.  This cultivar produces an abundance of amazing black figs with a very pronounced vivid red interior and a complex flavor profile. The skin is slightly firm and it has a closed eye possibly making it a great commercial variety.  Parthenocarpic.
