Craven's Craving fig tree from the Point Loma neighborhood of San Diego, California. It is an excellent dark skinned, red interior fig that was brought here originally from the Azores, an autonomous island region of Portugal. This is considered a top-tier fig. The owner of the fig is in his 80s now and still lives at the home where the tree is located. When interviewed, claims he's never heard of Figo Preta (aka Black Madeira) which some claim this as the same fig. The gentleman who distributed this fig, Chris, says he's grown it side-by-side with Black Madeira and Figo Preto and says it's not the same fig. Parthenocarpic.
